What is a Prosthodontist
Prosthodontists specialize in restoring and replacing teeth to enhance both the appearance and function of smiles. After four years of dental school, they undergo an additional three years of specialized training in an ADA-accredited graduate program, making prosthodontics one of the ADA's nine recognized dental specialties.
Often referred to as the "quarterback" of dental care, prosthodontists lead teams of general dentists, specialists, and health professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

Replacing Lost Teeth
Tooth loss, whether from injury or aging, can affect self-esteem and daily activities. Prosthodontists offer solutions like crowns, bridges, dentures, and dental implants, a long-term option that has advanced significantly in recent years. They guide patients through every step of dental implant treatment, from consultation to aftercare.

Complex Care Management
Prosthodontists are skilled in handling complex restorations, from trauma rehabilitation to creating smiles for individuals with genetic facial differences, ensuring the best possible outcome.

Cosmetic Dentistry
A healthy smile boosts self-confidence. Prosthodontists can enhance the appearance of your smile by addressing issues like broken, discolored, or misshapen teeth. Procedures include ceramic crowns, veneers, bonding, and teeth whitening.
Why Choose a Prosthodontist?
While some dentists take short courses in reconstructive procedures, prosthodontists complete three additional years of intensive training. They are experts in advanced techniques, including dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, complex care management, dentures, and more. Their expertise extends to treating conditions like TMJ, sleep disorders, and maxillofacial prosthetics for cancer reconstruction.
With their rigorous training and experience, prosthodontists understand the intricate dynamics of a smile and the importance of preserving oral health.
